The Eventuality Of Man
as we look into the eyes of the past
we see faint flickering memories of what we once were
shadowy images dancing in our minds
as the light shines down upon the stage of life
then death, to those who lie in their graves
is but a final moment of true peace
a peace that they can neither feel nor share
in a somnolent trance they descend into darkness
solitude is what envelopes their souls
and there they are left
to continue in non-existence
relying only on a memory of what was once their life
